Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar
Not even a few months have passed since the formation of the Congress government in Karnataka that the talk of its fall has started coming to the fore. This claim has been made by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. He said that a conspiracy to topple the Congress government in the state was being hatched “outside”. Hours after his statement, DK Shivakumar claimed on Monday that some leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were making agreements with leaders of other parties. There are rumors that meetings have been held in Singapore to topple the Congress government in Karnataka.
Sign of two enemies becoming friends
Meanwhile, Shivakumar said, “Some BJP leaders are trying to strike a deal with leaders of some other party. I have got this information. They could not hold the meeting here or in Delhi, so ticket booking is being done there.” Indicating that the two enemies are becoming friends, he said that the BJP and the Janata Dal (Secular) have joined hands and added that he is aware of political tactics. He said, you know we have to keep an eye on everyone.

Earlier speaking to reporters, the Deputy Chief Minister had said, “We will also see. We also have some information. This is their strategy. Instead of doing something in Bengaluru, they are doing all this outside.” He was replying to a question whether any conspiracy was being hatched to topple the Karnataka government. State Revenue Minister Krishna Byregowda supported Shivakumar’s claim.
“BJP has no sense of good and bad”
The state revenue minister said, “BJP has toppled many elected governments. Against this backdrop, we have to be careful. BJP has no sense of right and wrong. All the undemocratic activities it has done are before us and the Deputy Chief Minister must have meant the same thing. He may have some more information needed.” The Revenue Minister claimed that the BJP specializes in toppling governments elected by the people across the country. He also alleged that the BJP was misusing power at the Centre.
