Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur may get four demerit points by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for her behavior in the third ODI against Bangladesh.
According to a report published by Cricbuzz, a match official said that Harmanpreet committed a level two offense for which she will be fined 75 per cent of her match fee apart from receiving four demerit points.
In the match played at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on Saturday, Harmanpreet hit the stumps with her bat after getting out and had a heated exchange with umpire Tanveer Ahmed. In the post-match presentation ceremony, he criticized the ‘umpiring standards’.
According to Cricbuzz, the match official said, “He will be fined 50 per cent of his match fee for the on-field incident (breaking the wicket), while he will be fined 25 per cent of his match fee for the way he represented himself at the presentation ceremony.”
As per reports, he will get three demerit points for the on-field incident and another for accusing the umpires at the presentation ceremony.

It is noteworthy that during the trophy ceremony, Harmanpreet had said something to Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana, after which the Bangladesh team returned to the dressing room without being photographed with the trophy.(agency)
