Heavy rain warning till 29th July
New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said that very heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over the west coast till July 26 and over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh during July 25-27. The IMD has predicted heavy rain over East Central India during July 26 to 27, while Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, North Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh during July 25 to 27, and East India between July 28 and 30.

In its bulletin released on Tuesday, the Meteorological Department said, in northwest India, states like Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh are expected to receive heavy rains. Himachal Pradesh will also receive rain from Tuesday to Friday, very heavy rain is expected at isolated places on July 26 and 27. It will rain in East Rajasthan from 25 to 27 and in West Rajasthan on 25 and 26 July. Jammu and Kashmir will receive rain on July 26 and 27, while heavy rain is expected at a few places.
There will be heavy rains in Central India as well. It will rain over Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh from Tuesday to Friday, with very heavy rainfall at isolated places on July 26 and 27. East Madhya Pradesh will receive rain from July 26 to 28, while on July 27, very heavy rain will occur at a few places.

IMD has further predicted that West India, Konkan, Goa There will be widespread rainfall over the Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra from Tuesday to Saturday, with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places on July 25 and 26. South India will also receive widespread rainfall during this period, the IMD said. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka and Kerala and Mahe will receive rain till July 27, while Telangana will see rain from Tuesday to Friday. Coastal and North Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will see rain on July 25 and 26. During this, there is a possibility of very heavy rain in many areas.
It further said that over Northeast India, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya would receive fairly widespread rainfall till July 29 and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on July 28 and 29. On the other hand, there is a possibility of very heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on 27 and 28 July.
