Tehri: Eating mushrooms has become very expensive for a family in Tehri district of Uttarakhand. Husband and wife have died and their mother has fallen ill due to eating mushroom curry. The matter pertains to Ranichowri area of Tehri. Chief Medical Superintendent of Tehri District Hospital, Bauradi, Dr. Amit Rai said that Ajbir Singh, a resident of Dargi village, and his family had eaten wild mushroom vegetable, after which everyone’s health deteriorated.
According to Dr. Rai, Ajbir (38) died at home on Sunday, while his wife Rekha (28) was sent to AIIMS Rishikesh in view of her critical condition, but she too succumbed during treatment at the hospital. According to Rai, Ajbir’s mother Deepa Devi is being treated at the district hospital and her condition is said to be out of danger. Rai told that Ajbir used to work in Tehri’s Ranichauri Forestry College. (input language)
