sahara group Seven lakh investors have so far registered on the Sahara Refund Portal launched in this regard to get back their deposits in four cooperative societies. According to the information received, claims of a total amount of Rs 150 crore have been received so far. In such a situation, let us tell you that if your money is also stuck in the scheme of Sahara and you are going to apply for refund through this portal, then you must have some important documents. Without this you will not get refund money. Also your application will be cancelled.

Documents needed to apply

  • membership number
  • deposit account number
  • Active mobile number linked with Aadhaar
  • Deposit Certificate/Passbook Statement
  • PAN Card (for claim amount of Rs 50,000 and above)

How to get the claimed amount?

The refund of the claimed amount, if found to be in order, will be credited directly to the depositor’s Aadhaar-linked bank account after 45 days from the date of submission of the claim. Investors whose claim is successfully submitted will see an acknowledgment number on the portal and an SMS will be sent to the depositor’s registered mobile number for confirmation.

Amount up to 10 thousand rupees will be received now

The money of about 4 crore investors invested in four schemes of Sahara will be returned in 45 days. However, in the initial phase only those investors whose investment is Rs 10,000 will be refunded. At the same time, those who have invested more than 10 thousand will also be given an amount of 10 thousand only in the first phase. Let us tell you that the ‘CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal’ was launched by Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on July 18. The government had said in March that 10 crore investors of four cooperative societies would get their money back in nine months.

Supreme Court had given instructions

Earlier, the Supreme Court had directed transfer of Rs 5,000 crore from the Sahara-SEBI refund account to the account of the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS). Sources said that till now seven lakh investors of Sahara have registered themselves on the portal. Under this, a total amount of Rs 150 crore has been claimed.
