ISRO will send PSLV-C56 to space with six satellites

After the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3, ISRO is now going to launch a new mission. Indian Space Research Center (ISRO) has now started preparing for its next mission and it is going to execute its mission soon. According to the Indian Space Agency, on July 30, PSLV-C56 will launch the mission with 6 co-passenger satellites. According to the news agency, ISRO said that PSLV-C56 with 6 co-passenger satellites will be launched on July 30 at 06.30 am from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.

According to ISRO, PSLV-C56 is configured in its core-alone mode, similar to the successful PSLV-C55 mission launched in April 2023. The 360 kg satellite DS-SAR will be launched into a Near-Equatorial Orbit (NEO) at an inclination of 5 degrees and an altitude of 535 km.

DS-SAR Satellite

The DS-SAR satellite has been developed under a partnership between DSTA (representing the Government of Singapore) and ST Engineering. Once deployed and operational, it will be used to meet the satellite imagery needs of various agencies within the Government of Singapore. ST Engineering will use it for its commercial purposes for multi-modal and high-responsive imagery and geospatial services.

Explain that DS-SAR carries the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payload developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). This allows DS-SAR to provide all-weather day and night coverage, and is capable of imaging at 1 m-resolution at full polarimetry.

These are the names of the satellites:

VELOX-AM, a 23 kg technology demonstration microsatellite.

ARCADE, the Atmospheric Coupling and Dynamics Explorer (ARCADE), is an experimental satellite.
SCOOB-II, a 3U nanosatellite flying a technology demonstrator payload.
NuLIoN by NuSpace, an advanced 3U nanosatellite that enables seamless IoT connectivity in both urban and remote locations.
Galasia-2, a 3U nanosatellite that will orbit the Earth in low orbit.
ORB-12 STRIDER, the satellite has been developed under an international collaboration.

Earlier on July 14, ISRO successfully launched Chandrayaan-3, India’s third moon mission, on the LVM3 launch vehicle.
