India’s Harleen Deol and Jemimah Rodrigues have moved up in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings after impressive performances in the recently concluded series against Bangladesh. India and Bangladesh shared the series after the third and final ODI was tied under controversial circumstances. Harleen, who was named player of the final ODI, has gained 32 places to reach 51st position, while Jemimah, who scored a match-winning 86 in the second ODI, has jumped 41 places. With 55th rank.
Harleen was the top scorer in the final ODI with 77 runs. During the prize distribution ceremony after this match, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur targeted the on-field umpires. Harmanpreet is likely to be punished by the ICC. Apart from targeting the umpires, he also damaged the equipment by hitting the bat stump after being given out.
Veteran Deepti Sharma is the only Indian bowler in the top 10 at ninth position. Sneh Rana is at 38th position with the gain of three places.

She had scored an unbeaten 111 before her 129-run innings to pip Beth Mooney. She also has a 39-point lead over West Indies captain Hayley Mathews at the top of the all-rounders’ list.
Australia all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner has gained two places to reach a career-best third position in the all-rounders’ list. He also achieved his best ever ranking in the batting and bowling lists. He has moved up four places to 21st in the batsmen’s rankings and fifth in the bowlers’ rankings.

England’s Danny Watt (up three places to 18th) and Australia’s Tahlia McGrath (up two places to 13th) have also moved up in the batsmen’s list, while England off-spinner Charlie Dean (up two places to 13th) has also moved up.
Bangladesh’s Fargana Haque and Nahida Akhtar have also achieved career-best rankings. Fargana has 565 rating points, which is the highest by any female batsman in Bangladesh. She is the first player from the country to break into the top 20 (ranked 19th). She scored 107 runs in the final ODI against India at Mirpur. Earlier Rumana Ahmed was the highest ranking Bangladeshi player to reach 25th position in February 2017.
Left-arm spinner Nahida has moved up to 19th position with figures of three for 37 in the last ODI. Earlier, the best performance by a Bangladeshi batsman was to finish 20th which was achieved by Salma Khatoon in December 2022.(Language)
