BSE: Mumbai. The stock market opened on a positive note on Thursday due to inflow of foreign funds and buying in Reliance Industries shares. BSE’s 30-share Sensex gained 88.71 points to reach 60,389.29 points in early trade, while the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty was trading at 17,833 points with a gain of 19.40 points.
Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank, ITC, Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro and Mahindra & Mahindra were among the gainers in Sensex companies, while Power Grid, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever And Axis Bank shares were in loss.
In Asian markets, South Korea’s Cospi and China’s Shanghai Composite were in profit, while Japan’s Nikkei and Hong Kong’s Hangseng were trading in losses. US markets closed with a fall on Wednesday.
